An insightful involvement in the two-day cluster event “Game-Changing Synergies: Exploring the Cultural and Societal Value of Video Games“, hosted by the GAMEHEARTS research project at the Imperial War Museum in London on 21–22 October 2025.
The event brought together Horizon Europe projects like GAME-ER Project, MEGASKILLS Project, GREAT Project, ekip, Women in Games, and stakeholders from research, cultural, and creative sectors to discuss the transformative potential of video games.
Stelina Rizou, Research Associate by the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), our project coordinator, showcased how gaming, XR, and fashion intersect to preserve culture and co-create new forms of digital expression through innovative, sustainable, and inclusive experiences. It highlighted i-Game’s co-creation platform, which connects gaming and cultural spaces to foster collaboration and social impact.
Energising discussions on cross-sector synergies reinforced a shared vision: games as catalysts driving cultural and societal transformation.
