Highlights of our local event “Dress Up your Hero and Play” in Thessaloniki

Our partner, Business and Cultural Development Centre (KEPA) organized the first local dissemination event in Thessaloniki as part of the i-Game project. The event entitled “Dress Up your Hero and Play” that was held on Friday, May 9, at The Comic Con 2025, brought together a group of innovative game creators and fashion designers.

A lively panel discussion on the growing role of games within other economic sectors and their use as educational tools followed with the contribution of creative minds:
– Anastasia Boufta, Fashion Designer, hashtag#The_MAnnequin_Collection
– George Tsepeltzidis, Urban Fashion Designer, ACRONITH®
– Christos Papachristou, Game Creator, Co-Founder, My Greek Games
– Nefeli Georgakopoulou, Architect, Digital Artist, Senior Research Associate ITI, Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH)

Vasilis Gkogkidis, Gamification Expert and Tutor at the University of Southampton moderated the panel discussion, out of which, one thing was made clear: gamification can transform fashion brands into an interactive experience. It may lead to customer engagement, reach new audiences, and turn fashion brands into co-creation spaces.

As fashion brands seek innovative ways to stand out among others, the i-Game project is offering space to those designers that wish to craft meaningful and playful experiences that step into each brand’s unique story.

We warmly thank the organizers of The Comic Con 2025 for their gracious hospitality, having our local event in Thessaloniki among their heroes, renowned creators and cosplayers hailing from around the globe!
