The i-Game project proudly presents the first Episodes focusing on Inclusive Game Design and Innovation through serious games and gamification, offering different perspectives from its partners, who share insights into their roles and their individual understanding of the project. The podcast series is produced by our project partner MuseoSpace Foundation, with Diana Fehr hosting the podcasts.
🎲 Let’s start with Oscar Garcia Pañella, PhD from Cookie Box Gamification & Serious Games. Oscar highlights the role of positive psychology in game design and champions innovation through serious gamification. He believes games can drive engagement, education, and behavior change across different sectors.
🎲 For our next podcast partner, Camilla Marini from the Museo del Tessuto in Prato, museums are vital storytellers. They preserve cultural heritage, enhance identity, foster well-being and cultural exchange. Camilla also emphasizes that museums play a key role for society and in driving social innovation. For her, the i-Game Project is a great opportunity for museums to connect different worlds, network better with their global and local communities and drive digitalization.
🎲 For our third podcast partner, Giulio Asta from Open Impact, the i-Game Project could drive positive changes through cultural games. Giulio is a dynamic social innovator and project manager driven by a passion for high-impact initiatives. In the podcast he talks about his own relation with games and how games can educate and foster curiosity. The goal is to promote fun, connection, and cultural understanding. Despite technical and collaborative challenges, the focus remains on creating engaging and impactful experiences.
🎲 For our last podcast partner, Poppy Oikonomou from Business and Cultural Development Centre (KEPA), the i-Game Project is the perfect space where culture and gaming can connect, aiming to build a multidisciplinary community that drives social impact and inclusion. Poppy is a passionate game player and a very strong supporter of our project. She is actively involved in numerous EU projects focusing on bridging diverse sub-sectoral needs, fostering knowledge exchange, enhancing entrepreneurial skills. She stresses the need to integrate business into cultural communities, pointing out that while Greece has a rich cultural history, it lacks a clear strategy for developing its creative and cultural industries. She also highlights challenges like understanding industry motivations, overcoming language barriers, and fostering collaboration.
