At i-Game, we love co-creation sessions because only by bringing together all areas of expertise involved in the project—encompassing both the right and left hemispheres—can we achieve the best results. On October 10, 2024, we gathered in the beautiful city of Rome for an in-person session to test the first version of i-Game’s video game co-creation platform. This platform allows people from different fields, backgrounds, and roles to collaborate in designing applied games for any heritage and museum-related reality. No prior knowledge of experiential design is required, as the platform itself guides, informs, educates, and collects input regarding audience profiles, needs and objectives, constraints, and technical aspects related to game design, narrative, and artistic aesthetics.
Cookie Box initiated a series of co-creation sessions with the aim of identifying the user’s requirements while mapping them within the accessible game design. The participants of this session managed to validate the game co-creation journey and assess the operation of the digital platform that the i-Game project will deliver, aiming to capture the basic characteristics and behaviors of the selected model that would enable the developers create a more improved version of the application.

Future sessions will be delivered either online or in a hybrid form and may entail Game Jams, hackathons, and participative design experiences.
