From 28 to 30 January 2026, sTARTUp Day – the largest startup festival in the Baltics – took place at the Estonian National Museum. Marking its 10th anniversary,
the festival brought together thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, and creatives in Tartu to co-create forward-looking solutions. The Estonian National Museum actively contributed to the event, fostering new ideas, collaborations, and future-focused initiatives.
ENM Research Director Pille Runnel and Research Secretary Agnes Aljas led the workshop Designing Impact: Games and Digital Cultural Heritage, which examined how digital cultural heritage and entrepreneurship can mutually inspire one another. The session highlighted games, digital creativity, and the role of cultural heritage as a driver of innovation.
The workshop introduced innovative digital experiences deriving from the i-Game project, such as the co-creation platform for game development. In addition to the workshop, participants were invited to a guided tour of the museum and received an overview of ENM’s digital development activities, demonstrating how the museum is opening up new ways to experience, use, and interpret cultural heritage.
